One Voice Peace Concert – See What Went Down At 2Face Idibia’s Led Concert

 Ikeja was busy last night as ‘One Voice Peace Concert’ came to life at Classique Events Center on Oregun Road, Ikeja. The concert was held to sensitize Nigerians on the need for post-election involvement in the day to day activities of the Nation and its government. It was indeed an educative and entertaining session.

 The event, which was hosted by Koffi saw perfomances by 2Face Idibia, Ice Prince, Sound Sultan, Phyno, Naeto C, Niyola, Reminisce, Timi Dakolo, Mr Songz and DJ Neptune on the turntable. Others were Efa, Olu Maintain, Ill Bliss and Vector. Admission into the concert was free for guests with their permanent voters cards, while individuals without a PVC paid N500.

 The concert was put together by EiE Nigeria in collaboration with the 2Face Foundation and was produced by Buckwyld Media Network and Hip TV.

Some of the faces at the event include Azadus, Kenny Ogungbe, Shullz (Classic fm), Yomi Fash,Bukky (Classic fm) , Alex, Sexy Steel, Geoffrey of MTN project frame and many others. The event was supported by Star Radler and Samsung, who gave away phones to the guests via a raffle draw.

Residents of Ekepe Ukim Urian community in Akwa Ibom watched their houses marked for demolition by the government officers last week and when they went for their daily activities in search of daily breads on Wednesday came back and to their surprise met their homes demolished.


 
The homeless residents took to the street to protest the sudden and unrightful demolition of their homes. According to research, the residents have no where else to seek shelter and lost most of their belongings in the demolition

Two people were dead this evening along Shagamu - Benin expressway very close to Ilishan-Remo in Ogun state. Report tells that the accident was caused by a movin high speed petrol tanker when it looses control and ran into a nissan pathfinder. Before our reporters could get their, people have stormed the area to get fuel from the leaking tank.

Nigerian-American Rapper, Wale Gets Very Cosy With President Barrack Obama

Nigerian born rapper, Wale, was spotted recently wearing a shirt designed by Nigeria fashion house, "Zinicouture" (looks like the top of a male Kaftan though) when he visited American president, Pres. Obama at the White House.Zinicouture is the official clothier for indigenous Nigerian rapper, Olamide. Olamide featured Wale on one of his singles (can't remember the title), so it is safe to say that maybe Olamide was the connect or maybe he even gifted him with the shirt when he visited Nigeria.

Wale was invited by the first lady, Michelle Obama to a summit to mentor kids to overcome obstacles and succeed in college. Over 130 students attended the "beating the odds" summit, where Wale told them that college taught him to be self made.

A baboon that has been terrorizing residents of Ago Iwoye in Ogun State for over 24 hours has been taken down.

 According to residents of Oru village in Ago Iwoye, the monkey which entered the community on Tuesday has 

destroyed several property including livestock (the killing of 4 hens in a night) .A hunter was invited to Oru village

to take down the animal this afternoon.

Birdman denies involvement in Lil Wayne shooting

A few weeks ago, Cash Money CEO Bryan 'Birdman' Williams and rapper Young Thug were named in an indictment, alleging they conspired to kill Lil Wayne over their ongoing contract dispute. Sources close to Birdman insist its not true…TMZ reports;

 

 Birdman is finally breaking his silence on the Lil Wayne shooting, and despite police docs tying him and Young Thug to the suspect - he's denying any involvement in a murder-for-hire plot. Sources close to Wayne and Birdman confirm to TMZ what police docs insinuated ... that Birdman got a phone call on April 26, shortly after the bus was shot up in Atlanta. As we reported, police knew the call was placed between 2 phones registered to Birdman.

We're told the call came from someone in Wayne's camp who was understandably pissed, and anxious to tell Birdman what went down shortly before the shooting -- that Jimmy Carlton Winfrey had been kicked out of a club for harassing Wayne.

Winfrey was eventually arrested and charged with the shooting. Our sources say Birdman assured Wayne he was not involved in any way, and vowed to help figure out who was behind it.

Werid!!! White Man Turns Black After Receiving Liver Transplant From Black Man

A Russian man given a liver transplant by an African-American donor has claimed the operation is turning his skin black. Semen Gendler (yes, that is his first name), from Krasnodar, south-west Russia, urgently needed the transplant after being diagnosed with hepatitis C and cancer. Doctors said his only hope was a liver transplant, and after contacting business partners in the USA, Mr Gendler flew there for the life-saving operation. He was given the liver of an unnamed, 38-year-old African-American man for the transplant, which reportedly cost him around £325,000. Reports claimed Mr Gendler obtained a liver transplant after paying the large sum in the US, where the operations can be agreed more quickly than in Russia. Mr Gendler said the transplant initially gave him ‘a new lease of life’, but was then told by a work colleague that his skin ‘seemed to be changing colour’.
His colleague Igor Atamanenko said: “I noticed that his skin was getting darker. When he told me they had given him the liver of an African-American man, I guess that was probably the reason for the colour change. “I have known my friend for years and he has always been if anything extremely pale, and now for the first time ever he is becoming dark skinned.”
On the flip side, 65-year-old Semen Gendler says that, although his condition is weird, he is not in the least bothered about being a few shades darker than his former self. Not when he is now hepatitis C- and cancer-free and has many happy years to look forward to.
He said: “I could end up much darker than this to be honest, I don’t care. The main thing is that the liver works and I am healthy. It’s incredible, I am now so full of energy and living between two cities in New York and Krasnodar and if my skin ends up dark who cares, I certainly don’t.”
